"Titanic" is a timeless masterpiece that continues to captivate audiences even after more than two decades since its release. Directed by James Cameron, this epic romantic disaster film tells the tragic story of the ill-fated RMS Titanic and the love affair between the upper-class Rose DeWitt Bukater and the lower-class artist Jack Dawson.
The film begins with an elderly Rose reflecting on her memories of the Titanic, which sank on its maiden voyage in 1912. The narrative then takes us back in time as we witness the grandeur of the ship and the stark contrast between the lives of the wealthy passengers and the impoverished ones. The attention to detail in the set design and costumes is impeccable, transporting viewers back to the early 20th century.
One of the film's greatest strengths is its ability to balance the grandeur of the Titanic with the intimate love story between Rose and Jack. The chemistry between Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio is electric, and their performances are nothing short of brilliant. Winslet beautifully portrays Rose's transformation from a sheltered young woman to a strong-willed individual who defies societal norms to be with the man she loves. DiCaprio's portrayal of Jack is equally compelling, capturing the free-spirited and adventurous nature of his character.
The film's visual effects are groundbreaking, especially in its recreation of the sinking of the Titanic. The sheer scale and realism of the disaster are awe-inspiring. The scenes depicting the ship gradually sinking into the icy waters of the North Atlantic are hauntingly beautiful and heart-wrenching. Cameron's attention to detail and commitment to historical accuracy make these moments all the more powerful.
In addition to its technical brilliance, "Titanic" also explores themes of class, love, and sacrifice. The stark divide between the rich and the poor is a recurring motif throughout the film, highlighting the social inequality of the time. The love story between Rose and Jack transcends societal boundaries and challenges the conventions of their time. Their sacrifice for each other becomes the ultimate symbol of their love, as they face the tragic fate of the sinking ship.
However, some critics argue that the film's dialogue can be overly dramatic and clichéd at times. While this may be true, it does not diminish the overall impact of the film. The emotional performances and the stunning visuals more than compensate for any minor flaws in the script.
In conclusion, "Titanic" is a cinematic masterpiece that continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Its timeless love story, breathtaking visuals, and exploration of social themes make it a must-watch film. James Cameron's vision and attention to detail bring the tragedy of the Titanic to life, leaving a lasting impression on all who experience it.

"Titanic" is a film that has left an indelible mark on the history of cinema and continues to be a beloved classic. Directed by James Cameron, this epic romance set against the backdrop of the ill-fated RMS Titanic has become a cultural phenomenon.
One of the film's greatest strengths lies in its ability to transport viewers back in time to the early 20th century. The attention to detail in the set design, costumes, and overall production is remarkable. From the lavish interiors of the first-class cabins to the cramped quarters of the lower decks, every aspect of the Titanic is meticulously recreated. The stunning visuals and period accuracy contribute to the immersive experience of the film.
The performances in "Titanic" are nothing short of exceptional. Kate Winslet delivers a powerful portrayal of Rose DeWitt Bukater, a young woman trapped in a loveless engagement and yearning for freedom. Winslet's ability to convey a wide range of emotions, from vulnerability to strength, adds depth to her character. Leonardo DiCaprio shines as Jack Dawson, a penniless artist who captures Rose's heart. DiCaprio's charm and charisma make Jack a relatable and likable character, and his chemistry with Winslet is palpable.
The film's narrative structure, with its framing device of an elderly Rose recounting her experiences on the Titanic, adds an extra layer of poignancy. This device allows for reflection on the events of the past and the enduring impact they have had on Rose's life. It also serves as a reminder of the tragedy that looms over the film, creating a sense of anticipation and tension.
The sinking of the Titanic is undoubtedly the film's most iconic and memorable sequence. The visual effects used to recreate the disaster are groundbreaking and still hold up today, more than two decades after the film's release. The sheer scale and realism of the sinking ship are breathtaking, and the scenes depicting the chaos and panic on board are harrowing. Cameron's meticulous attention to detail in these moments makes the audience feel as though they are experiencing the tragedy firsthand.
In addition to its technical achievements, "Titanic" also explores universal themes such as love, sacrifice, and the human capacity for resilience. Their relationship becomes a symbol of hope and defiance in the face of impending doom. The sacrifices made by the characters for each other highlight the strength of their love and the power it holds.
In conclusion, "Titanic" is a cinematic masterpiece that continues to captivate audiences with its timeless love story and visually stunning portrayal of the tragic events that unfolded on the RMS Titanic. 《泰坦尼克号》英语影评 篇三
Recently, the sutra moviehas come back in a form of Three Dimensions, which was directed by James Cameron in 1997.It is very popular in China, especially for the Chinese students. Now that “Titanic” has become the top grossing film of all time - in the U.S. and the world.
The movie tell a love story about Rose and Jack. They met each other in Titanic and fell in love rapidly. But finally the death took them apart.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the fastest way to cross the Atlantic Ocean was by ocean liner. All the sipping lines wanted their ships to be the biggest, and the fastest one.In 1912,The White Star Shipping Line was very resounding when they announced that their“super ship”-the Titanic-was ready to make her first voyage across the Atlantic . The Titanic was going to be the largest and best ship in the world. She was also going to be the most luxurious and the safest ship on the seas. This was a ship that was going to be impossilbe to sink..How big was the Titanic?
She was more than 269 metres long.Imagine a line of 22 large London buses standing one behind the other! This may give you an idea about the Titanics size.If you were in a small ship at sea when it passed the Titanic, you might think that you were passing in front of a cloud. A big, black could that hid the daylight and the sunshine. But finally,it sinked, which killed 1500 people.
Titanic is a romance, an adventure, and a thriller all rolled into one.It contains moments of exuberance, humor, pathos, and tragedy. In their own way, the characters are all larger-than- life, but they're human enough to capture our sympathy.Perhaps the most amazing thing about Titanic is that, even though Cameron carefully recreated the death of the ship in all of its terrible grandeur, the event never eclipses(掩盖) the protagonists(支持者).To the end,we never cease(终止)caring about Rose and Jack Titanic, not only because it is a successful commercial film and, more importantly,it brought about the end of the century a wave of nostalgia:the Titanic sank in the early 20th century is a tragedy, the film has to The facts add up the true love story, set sail Titanic will be less than 5 days of love, friendship and a disaster at the end of the century before this generation, it told us a truth:that we must cherish life
“Titanic” reminds me of the distinctions between people of faith and secularists. While all agree that death is inevitable and very often unexpected the religious and secularists do not agree on the behavior life's fragility should promote. Those of faith, know they may meet their Maker, at any moment at which time they will account for their sins. Their fear and deep love for God inspires them in their constant struggle for righteousness. To the secularist, life is short--get what you want-when you want it,and in what ever way necessary. Our heros fit into the latter category.

The film is really well written. I love the way it is told in flashback.
It begins with a group of present-day treasure hunters exploring the wreckage of the Titanic (which results in some brilliant underwater footage). They find an old safe that's completely empty save for a drawing of a woman. An elderly woman suddenly phones them and says she's the woman in the picture. She then tells the pers and her granddaughter the main plot of the film.
One thing that I really like as well about the flashback format is the editing. Each time the film always shifts between the past or present via a match cut, such as a video of the wreckage of the Titanic in the present day changing into the Titanic before it left in 1912 or a close-up shot of young Rose's eye to the eye of the elderly Rose in the present.
The characters are all really well developed.I love how the film manages to blend some of the real historical figures (I.E. the crew of the Titanic) with fictional characters (I.E. Rose, Jack) and yet it is still incredibly believable,as if this really was a true story. The story is largely focused on the relationship between Rose and Jack, but the film constantly manages to develop other characters.Even the present-day characters are really well developed.
The story is very well written, and I love the way how it changes in tone throughout. The film starts off exciting, with many people excited, yet still manages to portray Rose in a somewhat sympathetic role.A large portion of it is the romance between Jack and Rose, but the film manages to have some dramatic scenes, with a large sub-plot of the story being the conflict between Rose and the rest of her upper-class family. The film even manages to include a bit of humour here and there, but doesn't take it too far. However everything changes near the end, when we have the iceberg, and all of a sudden the film becomes very dark and tragic.
The climax is very impressive. It takes place once the Titanic hits the iceberg. At this point, the film manages to successfully shift focus between different people. It manages to focus on the protagonists, but also manages to focus on the chaos and tension as the ship sinks and the crew struggle to keep order and get the passengers off safely. It brilliantly manages to capture the tragedy and horror of the disaster.
Overall this movie is a cinematic masterpiece and one that you definitely should see if you haven't already.

After watching the film Titanic II,it can’t help making me remember Tita
nic I again, remembering the touching story plot. But compared to Titanic I,Titanic II seems to be inferior slightly, just as the words:The classics can’t be transcendental. The following are some similarities and differences of the two films which I summarize.
The same point is that the two films have the same story plot.
Firstly, they are both love stories about a man and a women basing the background of the ship sank and finally the man died in order to save the women he loved.
Secondly, the reasons of wrecking the ships are both the two ships hit the iceberg. However, there are also many different points between them. Although the two ships’ ruin are caused by icebergs, but in Titanic I,the main reason is that the captain is too confident. However in Titanic II,they are already warned but still accelerate the speed of navigation and finally cause the ship wrecked.
What’s more,in the Titanic I,the director can be said to create a classic.Until now it’s still a popular film about love. In Titanic II, it’s also about the lone story but it makes people dull.
In my opinion,Titanic I is relatively fine and smooth,Titanic II is more coarse and I think it can’t surmount Titanic I forever, because every story plot of Titanic I has already firmly born in the minds of people.Any will be considered imperfect with its different story plots.
